Co jest zwierzęciem-symbolem Krakowa (smok się nie liczy –bądźmy
uczciwi wobec siebie- smok to nie zwierzę!)? Ja w tej roli widzę gołębie. Jest ich tu
wszędzie pełno. Czy chcesz czy nie, prawie zawsze obserwując cię ich zamglone
oczy. Potrafią zachwycić swoim kolistym lotem nad starą architekturą, by chwilę
potem zupełnie ją zepsuć białymi „śladami”, które po sobie pozostawiają. Nie
można im odmówić uroku, ale… no właśnie: potrafią być pięknymi niebnymi istotami,
a zarazem obrzydliwie brudnymi i przemokniętymi do cna nosicielami chorób.
Niech żyje gołąb Krakowski!

What’s the animal of Krakow (the dragon doesn’t count – let’s face it- it’s not an animal!)? I’d see pigeons in this role. They’re everywhere. Whether you like it or not they’re there “human spotting” you through their foggy eyes. One second they’ll astound you whilst flying above the old architecture and the next they’ll be messing the architecture up with their white “tags”. You can’t say they're charmless… They can be these majestic creatures of the sky and at the same time wet, dirty sickish wraiths.
